Silent, Devoted Companionship

Cat and Adelita, out under the bleak nighttime skies.

I got a set of Prismacolor chalk pastels from my sister and a huge pad of pastel paper from Oma, and had originally planned of doing a picture of one of Kupo's characters and Hot Mama, a horse she designed for me, but recent events changed that plan. This is the second year that one of my dogs got sick on Christmas and died soon after, and having to deal with such a loss is always hard, but something about it being during such a 'time for miracles', it just seems so much harder. At least the same won't be able to happen next year- I don't have a dog of my own now, and since I'm (hopefully) headed off to college next fall, I doubt I'll be able to get one. It was nice to have a project to distract me the last couple days and work through the pain.
